All MLEDP employees must complete 12 training hours per year.
If you were hired before December 19, 2020, your training hours year is December 19 - December 18 each year.
If you were hired after December 19, 2020, your training hours year is your first day of work date. For example, if you started at a MLEDP on August 25, you will need 12 hours between August 25 and August 24 each year.

To receive credit for training hours, you must follow the process below:
1. Identify and Find a Training
Trainings can be found on the following websites (if you find a training on a website not listed, you
can submit it for approval to the HR Assistant: hrast@mledp.org):

2. Submit a “Training Request Form”
Once you have identified a training you would like to take, you will need to submit a “Training Request Form”, found on the MLEDP website: https://mledp.org/staff-only/employee-forms/staff-training-request-form .
If you are requesting multiple trainings, a separate form should be completed for each training. You cannot complete a training until this form is submitted and the HR Assistant (Corie Turner) has sent you an email confirmation that it is approved.
3. Complete the Training
Once you receive approval, complete the training and email a PDF of the Certificate of Completion to hrast@mledp.org. If there is a financial cost to the training, please submit the receipt along with the certificate so you can be reimbursed.*
4. Submit the “Training Time Request Form”
Once your training is complete and you have emailed the Certificate of Completion to the HR Assistant, you can submit the “Training Time Request Form”, found on the MLEDP website: https://mledp.org/staff-only/employee-forms/leave-time-trainingoff-site-time-request-form .
Select the “Meeting/Training” pay code, enter the number of hours of the training, and a “Training Reflection”, where you should include what you learned and key takeaways of the training in a short paragraph. This form should be submitted to the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Retention (Kelly Helterbran): leadctrdir@mledp.org. Your training hours will then be added to your timesheet, so you are paid for your time.*
*We cannot reimburse for training costs or time until the Certificate of Completion, receipt (if applicable) and Training Reflection Forms are submitted.
